What is reality?
Does a bull horn have burn horn atoms? What if we do a cup out of it? Will it have burn horn atoms or cup atoms?
With this metaphor, the lama Padma Samten explained that reality is not objects whatsoever, but how we see them. That's why we can find boring somebody we used to have fun with, or be completely touched by a movie we've seen before, or be able to rethink the basis of the global financial system which we used to consider very concrete and safe.
This concept is the foundation of the co-emergency phenomenon, which basically means something external can emerge just by changing the way we look at it, like a mirror effect. In that sense, we could think about an individual universal responsibility principle.
